Key Responsibilities- Develop designs and prepare drawings for mechanical projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and best practices.
- Manage the drafting function for assigned projects, collaborating with the department manager to maintain design standards and suggest improvements.
- Support the mechanical team in planning drawing work, preparing mechanical flow diagrams, and drawings to support equipment specifications.
- Utilize Revit, Solidworks, or Inventor to create detailed designs, including engineering sketches, calculations, general arrangements, and plant layouts.
- Maintain drawing and design standards, notify project managers and leads of scope changes, and review detail drawings and revisions.
- Develop piping layouts and schematics, assemble information for drawing production, and review drawings of other disciplines for mechanical requirements and interface.
- Oversee the filing of production drawings, develop issue folders, and make records of meetings and phone conversations.
- Heavy industrial process experience in piping layouts and schematics in a plant setting, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects.
- Heavy industrial systems design experience in similar industries in EPC/EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) engineering/construction fields.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer with 3D design-modeling experience and a desire to grow in a technical and professionally diverse environment.
