Position Overview

Astria Health is seeking a dedicated Practical Nursing Specialist to join our Family Birthing Center team. This role involves providing post-partum care with flexible per diem shifts, each lasting 12 hours.

Key Responsibilities

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will be tasked with supporting patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare provider. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing essential medical procedures within your licensure as per established policies.
  • Coordinating patients' hospital admissions and arranging necessary diagnostic, therapeutic, and dietary services.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of patient records.
  • Following established triage protocols to assess incoming referrals for service eligibility.
  • Providing assistance to maintain high standards of care and productivity.
  • Effectively prioritizing tasks and adapting to workload changes.
  • Collaborating across various departments to enhance patient care.
  • Upholding the organization's core values and standards.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • A valid Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Proficiency in both oral and written English.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive, and candidates will be required to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
