Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled maintenance technician specializing in custom profile plastic extrusion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the hands-on repair and upkeep of various production machinery, including extruders and saws. Proficiency in troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with industrial electrical systems and pneumatics are essential. Experience with PLCs, CMMS software, and manufacturing settings is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on physical structures, machinery, and grounds.
  • Execute painting, masonry, and plumbing tasks as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Install and service electrical conduits, water, and air lines.
  • Manage the installation of appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
  • Follow detailed instructions and complete necessary documentation.
  • Assist senior mechanics and carry out assigned tasks.
  • Seek assistance for issues beyond your expertise.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support maintenance activities related to injection molding.
  • Engage in various plant projects involving injection molding processes.

Performance Expectations:

  • Work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Demonstrate accountability and adhere to instructions.
  • Comply with safety regulations and protocols.

Position Details:

  • Full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday; Shift: 2nd (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm).
  • Overtime may be required based on production demands and project needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of experience in maintenance trades is advantageous.
  • Industrial electrical knowledge and experience are necessary.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers is preferred.
  • Pneumatic system knowledge is a plus.

Skills Required:

  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments.

Certifications:

  • Mechanical certification is preferred.
  • Industrial electrical certification is preferred.
  • PLC certification is preferred.
  • Hydraulic/pneumatic certification is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Work in a production environment with physical demands.
  • Perform tasks on concrete surfaces.
  • Exposure to elements typical of a manufacturing environment.
