Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to educate them on physical therapy techniques, provide guidance on home exercises, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Document patient progress, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure accurate and timely communication with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Louisiana.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and safety practices, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure patient safety at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an inpatient or outpatient physical therapy setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and current research in physical therapy.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, with a preference for bilingual or multilingual candidates.
