Respiratory Care Specialist

The Respiratory Care Practitioner II at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland is responsible for assessing respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring the delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by medical staff for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of respiratory patients to determine the best course of treatment.
Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality respiratory care procedures.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited school of Respiratory Care program or equivalent to be licensed.
Current CA RCP license and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
One year of neonatal/pediatric acute and intensive care experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for up to 3 hours/day, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and bend/stoop for up to 3 hours.
Ability to reach and use upper extremities for up to 6 hours, and lift/push/pull up to 25lbs with assistance or equipment.
