Job Summary

Viva Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and care for residents on a daily basis, adhering to individualized care plans and assignments.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Observe and record assistance with prescribed medications, as per assignment.
  • Report any changes in resident condition to the director or supervisor and document relevant information.
  • Assist with ordering room service, as needed, and maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Participate in in-service educational programs and maintain required safety and building checks.
  • Document all care given and refusals, maintaining accurate and objective records.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to work well with peers in a congenial work environment and maintain compassion and dignity towards residents.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must adhere to Viva Senior Living's attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
