About the Role

As a Per Diem Pharmacist at Avita Care Solutions, you will play a vital role in managing pharmacy operations and providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and services. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic clinic environment, handling incoming physician calls, logging data, and conducting drug utilization reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws
  • Properly dispense, order, and maintain inventory of drugs and supplies
  • Direct activities and workflow efficiency of pharmacy staff
  • Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations
  • Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs
  • Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and project a professional and positive attitude
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
  • Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of TX
  • Completion of an ACPE accredited immunization training program
  • 1+ year of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred
  • 340B experience preferred
  • AAHIVP certification preferred
  • Certifications in different areas of Pharmacy a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
