We are seeking individuals with expertise in physical/mathematical phenomena and programming skills to join our Hazard Modeling Team within the CBRNE Defense business line.

The successful applicants will contribute to the safety and preparedness of the United States and our clients by conducting annual quantitative risk assessments for CBRNE terrorism threats against the U.S. using existing software models and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as technical lead for a small team of data scientists.
  • Identify and implement improvements and maintenance activities to enhance the efficiency of the existing risk execution system/software.
  • Maintain comprehensive internal documentation on execution processes and develop high-level client documentation for risk analyses/results.
  • Annually present risk results and modeling/data updates to clients and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor task completion and communicate progress to the client in weekly teleconferences.
  • Prepare annual reports detailing methods used and results obtained.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another scientific discipline.
  • Strong understanding of higher-level mathematics.
  • Minimum one year of experience in project management or task leadership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
