Position Overview:

The Field Technician is tasked with the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage electrical and electromechanical systems, focusing primarily on security alarm solutions at client locations and monitoring centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, disassemble, and reassemble low-voltage electrical systems as per customer specifications or company directives.
  • Establish connections and make necessary adjustments; conduct tests on all components of each system to ensure proper functionality with the monitoring center.
  • Assess job-related information, delivered materials, site layout, and optimal routes for cabling, conduits, and wiring.
  • Report any defective materials or equipment, as well as discrepancies in job details that could compromise customer safety.
  • Ensure the security of unused materials, tools, and ladders at job sites or office locations.
  • Clean up installation debris, patch drill holes, and return any surplus materials.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Training from an Electronic Trade School is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, installation, or a related field is desirable.

Core Competencies:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle capable of accommodating a 6-foot ladder.
