Position Overview:
As a vital member of Lockheed Martin's Enterprise Business Digital Transformation (EBDT) Classified IT Transformation team, you will be at the forefront of redefining IT service delivery for classified programs.
About the Role:
In this dynamic and innovative environment, you will engage in IT System Engineering, Installation, Administration, and Security across various platforms, including both Classified and Unclassified networks, as well as cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineer, your role will encompass:
- Overseeing IT system management, ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin and Department of Defense standards.
- Implementing systems engineering processes, conducting routine updates, and providing ongoing maintenance for hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
- Managing server initiatives and troubleshooting server-related hardware and software issues.
- Utilizing your problem-solving skills to deliver effective solutions and develop innovative technical approaches.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and drive innovation.
Key Position Details:
This role requires on-site work, including occasional off-shift hours and travel. The position operates on a 4x10 schedule (Monday to Thursday) and supports a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Secret Level Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification within 90 days of starting.
- Experience with standard system administration tasks and extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and LDAP configuration.
Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience with Information Assurance (IA) compliance and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of storage systems and networking concepts.
- Scripting skills for system administration.
- Experience with cloud environments and database management.
