About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at a correctional facility. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our Registered Nurse to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical histories to inform patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Evaluate patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and report any concerns to management.
  • Document all patient interactions and maintain confidential medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, unrestricted LPN license in the state where the facility is located.
  • Two years of direct work experience preferred, with competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, and psychiatric nursing care.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide follow-through treatment as needed.
  • Valid driver's license required.
