Job Summary

Mercy is seeking a skilled Obstetrics Nurse to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. As a Registered Nurse in our Obstetrics department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, performing duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
