ARE YOU A PASSIONATE, CREATIVE INDIVIDUAL WITH STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS WHO CARES FOR SENIORS?

We are looking for a dedicated person who enjoys engaging with seniors and is reliable, adaptable, and imaginative. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with excellent communication abilities. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in a long-term care environment. Collaborate with fellow activity staff to plan, organize, and implement a variety of therapeutic activities tailored for residents at various stages of dementia. The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and capable of working effectively within a team.

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (24/32 hours per week)
Pay: $16.00 per hour

  • Occasional Evening Events
  • Rotating Holidays
  • Alternate Weekend Availability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of resident progress and activity participation.
  • Assist with mail distribution, transport residents to and from activity programs, prepare the monthly activity calendar, and contribute to the monthly newsletter and fundraising initiatives.
  • Facilitate or implement a range of activities that provide entertainment, social interaction, exercise, relaxation, and opportunities for residents to express their creativity while addressing their psychological, social, and spiritual needs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Activities Assistant (1 year preferred)
  • Dementia Care Experience (preferred)
  • Long-Term Care Experience (preferred)
  • English Language Proficiency (preferred)
