Job Overview

Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, promoting comfort, and maintaining or enhancing patients' function abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine patient care activities, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One month of related experience or training preferred.
  • Nursing assistant certification a plus.
