This Yard Spotter position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing daily safety and mechanical checks on yard trucks and trailers
• Climbing into cab, driving to trailers, backing up to the trailer, raising 5th wheel, making connections, climbing down to remove wheel chock, climbing up into cab and driving away
• Backing the trailer into the designated spot, disconnecting the trailer, installing chocks
• Operating forklift to make up cross-dock loads
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including floors and surrounding areas

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours
• CDL A Certification
• Hazmat and Doubles endorsements
• Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer combinations
• Knowledge of DOT regulations on equipment standards and inspections
