Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A Shuttle to join our team. As a Truck Driver CDL A Shuttle, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of goods and materials from one location to another.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials from one location to another.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.
- Uniforms and boot allowance provided.
- Paid Personal Time Off starts at Day hours accrued in First Year.
- DO NOT LOSE Paid Personal Time Policy - We encourage you to use Vacation Time earned. If you decide not to use it - we pay you the remaining balance at your hourly pay rate.
