Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, ensuring our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles is in top condition.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer tools
- Replace defective components and perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks
- Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
- Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- Competitive hourly pay
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
- Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days
- Annual merit pay increases every year
