The Systems Engineer will collaborate closely with the government client, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer to ensure effective planning, development, and delivery of modifications to PARCS and UEWR radar hardware and software, addressing change requests and deficiency reports as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in Systems Engineering tasks related to Information Technology and Engineering, including:
    • Defining requirements
    • Conducting analysis and engineering
    • Performing system analysis and design
    • Developing interface and data architectures
    • Facilitating systems integration
    • Analyzing system operational performance
  • Guarantee the logical and systematic transformation of product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct functional analysis, timeline assessments, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Offer precise, detailed insights for selecting and implementing techniques and tools that provide the most efficient solutions to meet business needs, including current and future capacity requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in developing and/or maintaining national security, mission-critical systems.
  • Prior experience in managing large-scale Agile or SecDevOps teams/projects, including support for cost estimation, baseline and risk management, schedule development, and performance monitoring.
  • Proven experience in leading transitions from waterfall to agile methodologies, aimed at delivering Minimum Viable Products consistently.
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of system types: custom-developed hardware/software, COTS/GOTS hardware/software, and specialty engineering of unique materials/limited supply items.
  • Experience in cloud-based development, integration, and testing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of configuration and data management, as well as hardware and software testing and evaluation of classified systems.
  • Experience in implementing cybersecurity measures within existing DoD systems.
  • Expertise in managing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into system specifications and technical performance standards.
  • US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance or higher are mandatory.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing large-scale Agile or SecDevOps teams/projects, including support for cost estimation, baseline and risk management, schedule development, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience in sustaining PARCS or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems.
  • Background in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering, and related fields, including managing teams/projects that deliver solutions for missile warning or national security space mission systems.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and its associated enterprise.
  • Experience in maintaining national security mission networks.

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience and technical skillset.
