Role Summary: The Substation Project Manager is essential in overseeing the full lifecycle of substation projects, ensuring that all phases are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires a blend of leadership, technical acumen in electrical engineering, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve project goals.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Project Strategy and Implementation: Formulate comprehensive project strategies, timelines, and financial plans. Manage resources, materials, and equipment to facilitate on-schedule project delivery.
  • Contract Oversight: Direct the negotiation and management of contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project alignment.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety Management: Establish and uphold quality assurance and safety measures throughout all stages of the project. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: Act as the main liaison for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Provide consistent project updates, address concerns, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Risk Assessment: Recognize potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate them. Proactively tackle challenges that could affect project timelines.
  • Team Management: Inspire and guide a team of engineers, technicians, and support personnel. Promote a cooperative and efficient work atmosphere.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the electrical power sector, particularly in substation projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualifications are advantageous.
  • In-depth technical understanding of substation design, construction, and operational processes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects concurrently and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, SAP).
