Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection
    • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding security incidents and investigations
    • Maintain a professional relationship with local law enforcement agencies
    • Collaborate with law enforcement and other retailers to identify and mitigate organized retail crime threats
    • Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
    • Monitor customers and employees for potential security risks and take appropriate action to prevent theft and fraud
    • Conduct surveillance and apprehend individuals engaged in theft activity, while adhering to company policies and procedures
    • Monitor video feeds and conduct on-site interviews as needed
    • Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations
    • Stay up-to-date on CCTV surveillance equipment and procedures
    • Assist in monitoring store compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Safety
    • Help mitigate security risks to create a safe environment for employees and customers
    • Welcome customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff
    • Issue electric shopping carts to customers and assist with wheelchairs and shopping carts
    • Examine and properly tag property being brought into the store
    • Monitor facilities and parking areas, directing traffic during special events or heavy customer traffic
    • Conduct regular floor and exterior walks to ensure customer and facility safety
    • Complete monthly reports on safe or unsafe practices
  • First Responder
    • Assist customers and staff with vehicle break-downs and lock-outs
    • React to situations such as shoplifting, medical emergencies, and inclement weather
    • Be available to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or early morning hours based on business needs
