Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students with special needs and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs, ensuring that each student receives a tailored education that meets their unique needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth, and adapts teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of each student.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, documenting achievements and identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with other teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques, materials, and resources to enhance student learning and engagement, and incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment as needed to facilitate student participation and independence.
  • Monitor and address students' social-emotional development, behavior management, and self-regulation skills, and provide support and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Special Education preferred.
  • Valid teaching certificate or credential in Special Education.
  • Familiarity with IEPs and the ability to develop and implement them effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
