Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the production process, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to use production software to produce work orders and BOMs to ensure work flow and accurate costing.
  • Monitor equipment, maintain and triage any equipment failures in the production process.
  • Generate/maintain SOP for the production of each product.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination between departments.
  • Oversee the training of staff by department leads, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement team to ensure availability of materials.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Maintain staffing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in aluminum boat manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to assemble and fabricate products according to specifications.
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting, including operating forklifts and other equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
