Key Responsibilities
  • e-Filing and Document Management: Assist in the preparation and filing of pleading documents, discovery documents, and other legal documents in California state and federal courts.
  • Calendar and Scheduling: Maintain attorneys' calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, teleconferences, and travel arrangements.
  • Communication and Correspondence: Communicate with outside law firms, clients, and insurance carriers to schedule depositions and other meetings, and handle general correspondence.
  • Document Preparation and Organization: Prepare and finalize correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and routine shell macros, and maintain a high level of document management and organizational skills.
  • Assistance to Attorneys: Provide support to multiple attorneys, including trial preparation, and assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects, and maintain a high level of document management and organizational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in e-filing systems, eDockets, and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and iManage document file system.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced law firm environment, with the ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
