POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Staff Educator plays a crucial role in partnering with the Education Manager and the Director of Ambulatory Patient Care Services to facilitate educational initiatives for clinical support personnel. Key responsibilities encompass the design and management of clinical training programs, tracking staff engagement, and executing training related to new policies and procedures. The educator will also provide essential insights to clinic leadership regarding clinical quality, compliance, and areas necessitating further education. Furthermore, this position involves overseeing clinic competency documentation and maintaining training facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant
- Technical expertise in patient care tools, human anatomy, medical vocabulary, and quality assurance standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to work collaboratively and independently to identify opportunities for performance enhancement
- Proficiency in using computer applications
- A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare environment
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
- Reports directly to the Director of Ambulatory Patient Care Services
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role requires compliance with safety protocols to reduce exposure to infectious diseases, involving daily interaction with infectious materials and bodily fluids.
- Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens is critical.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Includes bending, stooping, lifting up to 35 lbs, reaching overhead and below knee level, and adhering to proper body mechanics.
