Job Summary

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver to join our team. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients, staff, and visitors between designated locations in a safe and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Inspect vehicles at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure operating effectiveness.
  • Report any damage or inoperative equipment to the Supervisor or designee immediately.
  • Maintain the interior of the vehicle while it is under your control.
  • Document numbers of passengers, trips completed, and other relevant information as requested.
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with all applicable hospital policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class B with Airbrakes and passenger endorsement.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must be willing to obtain a DOT Medical card through Occupational Health.
  • Must be subject to random drug and alcohol testing through Occ Health.
  • Must maintain current training status in the transportation of Hazardous Materials, Uniform Precautions, and Fire and Safety in accordance with Mass General Brigham policies and procedures.
  • Must report for duty drug-free and remain drug-free during tour of duty in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
