Recovery Specialist Job Description

At Behavioral Health Network, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at the Dorchester Family Center. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults in addiction recovery to take charge and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct substance use recovery services and ensure the well-being of individuals served.
  • Oversee client activities, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and being responsible for food shopping.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Transport clients in their own registered and insured vehicle or program van.
  • Adhere to regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources.
About the Dorchester Family Center:

The Dorchester Family Center provides long-term residential family substance use treatment for women and their children of all ages. Our diverse and experienced team provides a variety of substance use recovery services, including individual and group counseling, therapy, and psycho-educational groups.

Requirements:
  • Commitment to client empowerment, human rights, and community integration.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a substance abuse treatment environment.
  • Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Abuse Regulations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • In successful recovery for two or more years, if applicable.
