Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our fast-paced Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse at Montefiore Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to promote a culture of excellence and professionalism.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse.
- One year of acute care RN experience, with a preference for experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department.
- BSN Degree preferred.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS Training.
- Infection Control and Barrier Precaution.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
