Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary:

The Computerized Tomography (C.T.) Technologist at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital performs prescribed CT scan procedures and exams on patients, ensuring the ALARA principle is followed for all exams. This role requires independent judgment and initiative, as well as the ability to coordinate patient flow and the activities of the CT Scanner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs CT scan procedures and exams on patients, adhering to hospital protocols and procedures.

• Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT Scanner, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.

• Ensures that all exams are performed in accordance with the ALARA principle, minimizing radiation exposure to patients.

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide CT services appropriate to the age of the patients, including adults, geriatric patients, and children.

• Recognizes signs and symptoms of abuse or neglect in patients and takes appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Completion of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology.

• Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of California in good standing.

• BLS Certification required.

• ARRT in Radiology, with CT ARRT preferred.

• Six months to one-year prior experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
