Position Overview
As a Hospice Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the Administrator or Patient Care Manager and working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Assisting patients with personal hygiene and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Preparing and serving light meals, and providing assistance with feeding when necessary.
- Supporting patients in mobility and ambulation, including the safe use of mobility aids.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks to ensure a comfortable living space.
- Engaging patients in activities to promote mental alertness and emotional well-being.
- Documenting patient care accurately and timely, and reporting any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Experience in patient care, preferably in hospice, home health, or similar settings.
- A current driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Current CPR certification.
