Pharmacist - PRN Opportunity

ProxsysRx is currently seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team at The Pharmacy at TMH in Tallahassee, FL. This is a unique chance to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model.

Responsibilities:
  • Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
  • Compound medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, if applicable.
  • Provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
  • Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Florida.
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
