Family Dental Care of Wilmington is a dynamic and patient-driven dental practice that values collaboration, communication, and community. We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team of 16 dedicated professionals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional patient care and support our team in delivering the highest quality dental services. As a Dental Hygienist at Family Dental Care of Wilmington, you will be an integral part of our patient care team, working closely with our doctors and other hygienists to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough and gentle dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and patient education.
  • Work closely with our doctors and other hygienists to ensure seamless patient care and efficient treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical and dental histories.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements
  • Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening and medical history documentation.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
