Job Summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to support our Mayfield Heights, Ohio location.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will coordinate and implement EHS programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and maintaining EHS programs to guarantee compliance with laws and regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Participating in government agency field visits to understand EHS regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Implementing EHS procedures at assigned locations and holding management and employees accountable for following rules.
  • Providing technical support and input on EHS issues affecting projects and processes.
  • Facilitating employee EHS training for hazards and tasks performed at the location.
  • Defining and maintaining an EHS training matrix and providing necessary training.
  • Documenting, maintaining, and implementing emergency response plans.
  • Conducting annual evacuation drills and reporting monthly injury/illness metrics to HQ-EHS.
  • Identifying and implementing actions to prevent reoccurrence of work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Ensuring provision of environmental, health, and safety assessments, personal protective equipment, procedures, and training to employees.
  • Prioritizing safe electrical installations and practices.
  • Performing ergonomic assessments as needed for employee safety.
  • Working with Fire Safety personnel on alarm panels, testing devices, and annual inspections.
  • Establishing and maintaining safety practices with lab leaders.
  • Providing environmental data (energy, waste, and water) to the company in a timely manner and driving continual improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Effective communication with various levels of the organization.
  • Experience with MS Office suite.
  • Self-starter with technical and organizational skills.
Estimated Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per year.
