Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering top-notch eye care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care
  • Warmly greet incoming patients and prepare them for exams
  • Administer pre-testing, including blood pressure, NCT, color, and stereo and auto perimetry
  • Collect and relay pertinent health and ocular history to the doctor
• Administrative Duties
  • Answer telephones and schedule patient appointments
  • Transcribe messages for return calls and faxes
• Equipment Maintenance
  • Maintain and clean equipment and doctors' lanes
  • Order contact lenses and maintain proper levels of pre-test/doctor supplies

Requirements

• Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
• Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated flexibility in addressing patient requirements and preferences
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, and ensure patient commitments/deadlines are met
• Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods, read a computer screen for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lbs
