Café Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Café Specialist to join our team at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service.

The Job:

This Café Specialist will be responsible for setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. You will also be responsible for taking orders, recording in MICROS system, preparing food and coffee beverages, and ensuring that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times. Additionally, you will be required to bus coffee cart areas and tables, clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day, obtain change required for expected business level, count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.

About You:

• You have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience is necessary, but we encourage candidates with relevant skills to apply.
• You are able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• You are able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• You are able to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Your Salary Range:

$36,000 - $41,600 per year based on a 40-hour workweek.
