Job Summary

The Willow Inpatient Pharmacist Build Analyst at OCHIN is a pharmacy-trained clinician that supports complex configurations to support the Epic applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software for our member hospitals and clinics, primarily focused on the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Epic Willow pharmacy system.

This role requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and workflows, as well as the technical capabilities of the Epic Willow system.

Collaboration with members and internal staff is a key part of this role to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient workflows, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate in OCHIN's Member Care Team framework as a key contributor to the overall goals of the team support model.
  • Lead working sessions with OCHIN members to resolve advanced and complex integration work orders.
  • Discuss and provide workflow solutions and ensure understanding of the system through hands-on training.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on applications across the organization.
  • Lead and mentor other analysts on complex interdepartmental project work.
  • Document build specifications, team processes, and complex clinic workflows.
  • QA complex builds, Quarterly Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.
  • Collaborate with members from other OCHIN teams to address integration issues.
  • Build, design, test, and document functionality of new system features.
  • Provide process improvements within your application or team.
  • Perform complex build and configuration in Epic and related products.
  • Collaborating with pharmacy and clinical teams to identify opportunities for optimizing pharmacy operations through the use of the Epic Willow system.
  • Configuring and testing the Epic Willow system to support pharmacy workflows and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the Epic Willow system.
  • Staying up to date on changes to pharmacy regulations and best practices and ensuring the Epic Willow system remains compliant.
  • Lead working sessions with OCHIN members to resolve advanced and complex integration work orders.
  • QA complex builds, Quarterly Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.
  • Collaborate with members from other OCHIN teams to address integration issues.
  • Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives and Dress Rehearsals as needed.
  • Travel to support off-site software installations as needed up to 25%.
  • Develop and share workflow best practices.
  • Assist Project Managers in identifying system capabilities.
  • Build, design, test, and document functionality of new system features.
  • Participate or provide leadership in interdisciplinary work groups in areas of expertise. Develop or further subject matter expertise, and provide leadership, in one or more priority areas. Involvement may include product consultation, research initiatives, business and foundation development needs, or policy.
Requirements

PhD or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience.

Clinical degree and licensure (PharmD).

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in acute care pharmacy operations with strong understanding of pharmacy operations and workflows.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or relevant role.

Minimum of 2 applicable certifications/proficiencies - Epic Willow Inpatient - required and an additional certification - preference given to Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory, and Beacon.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer application systems, including experience with Microsoft Office.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Experience with project management and leading teams.

Availability for occasional travel, including supporting go-lives according to OCHIN's policy (go-live support is required; this support is sometimes provided virtually).

Previous experience with Critical Access Hospitals is desired.

Previous experience with 340b Drug Pricing Program is desired.

Knowledge and previous experience with clinical innovation, healthcare transformation, and quality improvement desired. Familiarity with methodologies such as the Model for Improvement or Lean desired.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location.

Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations.

Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint ($155,443), with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position.

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
