Job Title: Reliability Maintenance Technician

Amentum is seeking a skilled Reliability Maintenance Technician to join our team in La Jolla, CA. As a key member of our Utilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical systems.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Reliability Maintenance Technician to provide advanced maintenance and repair services for our industrial equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment failures and improve overall reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies that improve asset reliability and uptime.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, with a focus on predictive maintenance and root cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to obtain site-specific security access and pass a medical evaluation for respirator use.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Infra-Red Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic lubrication, Airborne Ultrasonic, and Vibration analysis.
  • Knowledge of pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and millwright-related work.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
