Key Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival
  • Check customers' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Effectively merchandise food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner
  • Inform customers of any specials
  • Polish all silverware used for service
  • Accurately take guest orders in a timely fashion and enter the order into the computer system for transmittal to kitchen staff
  • Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems timely
  • Serve food and/or beverages to customers
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, take them to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Clean, stock, and maintain the workstations throughout the shift
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Correctly and precisely calculate each guest check and collect payments
  • Complete cleaning tasks on board during, between, and after departures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or actively pursuing an education
  • Prior experience serving in a restaurant preferred
  • TIPS certified preferred
Working Conditions:

This position will spend 95% of the time standing/walking and 5% of the time sitting. The position requires the ability to bend, twist, make repetitive motions, use hands to hold and carry items/trays, kneel, reach, push, and pull. Direct contact with guests, managers, and co-workers is required. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, snow, rain, and water may occur.
