Discovery Isle Preschool is a leading early childhood education provider offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, summer camp, and after-school programs. Our nationwide presence spans diverse pedagogical approaches, including proprietary methods, Montessori schools, and progressive language immersion programs.
We're seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Lead PreK Teacher at our Poway location. As a valued member of our staff, you will create, manage, and participate in various learning environments and activities that foster student growth and achievement of learning objectives.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary, ranging from $19-21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The employment duration is year-round, Monday-Friday, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, 401(k) plan with employer match, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, tuition discounts for your children, FSA plans, education reimbursement & partnerships, CDA program, professional development, and teacher in-service days.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of educators and administrators, develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with families, students, and the school community, and prioritize a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include positively influencing peers to meet the school's vision of excellence, providing quality education programs, ensuring successful implementation of approved curriculum, maintaining compliance with accreditation and state licensing requirements, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education Units is required, along with the ability to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak English fluently. This role requires carrying, lifting, using repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally pushing, pulling, or bending.
