Senior Language Trainer

We are currently seeking a skilled Russian Language Instructor to join our team in Orem, Utah. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and teach language courses for U.S. Federal agencies, leveraging your expertise in adult language education and methodology.

• Tailor your instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Use contemporary authentic materials to supplement instruction.
• Utilize classroom technology such as SmartBoard/Symposium, audio/video/DVD components, and computer applications like Microsoft Office.
• Employ blended delivery modes including platform, online, distance, asynchronous eLearning technology, and self-paced instruction.
• Provide constructive feedback on student progress.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen to support this contract.
• Native Speaker with an ILR proficiency level 4 in reading and listening in Russian or a speaker with native capability in English and a minimum ILR proficiency level 3 in reading and listening in Russian.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Five years of experience in adult language education and methodology, including:
  • Three years of experience developing and teaching using blended learning.
  • Three years of experience developing and teaching language courses from basic through advanced level, with a focus on translation, grammar, listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
  • Two years of experience identifying and using authentic materials to support objectives.
  • Two years of experience assessing student performance.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
