Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced signal processing algorithms for complex integrated hardware/software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, design, and model world-class signal processing algorithms for complex integrated HW/SW systems
  • Performance evaluation of signal processing solutions
  • Strong understanding of C/C++ software development in Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of software development tools such as integrated development environments (IDE) as well as version control systems and defect reporting tools
  • Experience implementing signal processing algorithms in GPUs
  • Work effectively in a cross-functional team as well as a diverse customer base
  • Develop testing criteria and execute validation of designs
  • Experience working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions
  • Proficient in signal processing algorithm development in MATLAB or Python
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proven technical leadership skills ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions
  • Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency
  • Proven record of continued self-improvement of skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with emphasis in Digital Signal Processing, Communication Theory, Wireless Communications, or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a master's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of study
  • Experience with Agile software implementation
  • Experience leading programs/projects with Agile/Scrum tools and techniques
