Job Summary

The Production Sorter plays a crucial role in preparing, sorting, tagging, and hanging donations for the sales floor. This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to meeting daily production goals, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort, price, tag, and hang donated goods in preparation for stocking the sales floor
  • Ensure quality of merchandise and pre-sort items for salvage
  • Meet daily production goals of at least 5 racks, 100 pieces per rack or team goal as approved
  • Perform daily and nightly recovery of sales floor
  • Assist customers by answering questions and providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping practices and expectations
  • Maintain a professional and flexible attitude; willing to take on different job responsibilities
  • Promote the mission and values of Goodwill

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail, production, warehouse, material handling, or customer service experience preferred

Work Environment:

Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
