We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PCT PCU Nurse Assistant to join our team at Piedmont Medical Center. As a key member of our Progressive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care to meet the needs of activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, including vital sign monitors and infusion pumps.
- Take and record vital signs and I/Os, and assist licensed staff and physicians as directed.
- Assume responsibility for meeting the basic needs of all patients assigned, including providing emotional support and comfort.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide quality care and meet unit and hospital goals.
- Perform clerical and public relations functions, including answering phones and directing visitors.
- Transcribe orders on all patients assigned, and coordinate patient services and tests provided by ancillary hospital departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of six months of work experience preferred.
- CNA certification and/or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited Nursing Curriculum with the intention to complete a nursing degree required.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.
