Landmark Landscapes is seeking a skilled Turf Care Specialist to join our team. As a Turf Care Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the health and appearance of lawns. This includes operating and maintaining turf care equipment, providing excellent customer service, and performing routine lawn care tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Turf Care: Operate and maintain turf care equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep all tools, trailers, and vehicles clean and organized.
  • Lawn Care Tasks: Perform routine lawn care tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing to maintain a manicured appearance.
  • Seasonal Maintenance: Perform spring and fall cleanups, as well as general landscape maintenance such as pruning, weeding, and mulching.
  • Turf Health: Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to a predetermined schedule and in compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Turf Issues: Identify and address common turf issues such as diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to plan and execute turf maintenance projects.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of services provided, materials used, and client interactions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in turf care.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in turf care or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of turf grass varieties, soil types, and common turf issues helpful.
  • Safety: Familiarity with the safe and effective use of turf care equipment and chemicals.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift 50lb repeatedly, and stand/walk for long durations.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., pesticide applicator license) is a plus.
