Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the Porterville Developmental Center. As a key member of our Centralized Staffing Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the scheduling of contract and registry staff to meet the needs of our facility.
  • Fill vacant positions within the STA by hiring overtime and contract and/or registry staff while maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide supportive services to Nursing Services, including ensuring training needs are met and staff are regularly evaluated.
  • Develop documents based on the scope of services and provide complete schedules to ensure optimal conditions of operation.
Requirements
  • Current valid Psychiatric Technician license.
  • Ability to work varying schedules and shifts based on operational needs.
  • Proficiency in utilizing KRONOS system for tracking staffing and time usage.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance and participate in client containment, intervention, or restraint.
