Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiogram tests on patients, ensuring technical quality of images and providing excellent customer service.
- Enter and monitor patient data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, identifying areas for growth and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe and efficient patient care, adhering to Memorial Hermann's policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain expertise in cardiac sonography, staying current with industry developments and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives, aligning with the organization's strategic plan.
- Provide education and training to less experienced staff, promoting individual professional growth and development.
- Engage with patients, families, and colleagues to create a positive and compassionate experience, embodying Memorial Hermann's service standards.
Requirements
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), required.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others, as needed.
