Job Title: Cook

At Razzoo's Cajun Cafe, we're seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complex menu items, including soups, sauces, vegetables, meats, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill food order tickets by preparing, seasoning, and cooking menu items to meet Razzoo's standards.
  • Follow recipes and line procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Utilize scales and measuring tools to portion food accurately.
  • Prepare plates in a consistent arrangement, with clean rims and deli paper pointed up.
  • Properly garnish every plate and follow the Cook To Order philosophy.
  • Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and food-handling rules and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper handling of food items and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Handling Certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exposed to varying temperatures and kitchen equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:

The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, exposed to varying temperatures, hot and cold, and kitchen equipment. The ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain a clean and safe workspace is essential.
