Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a leading food distributor and contribute to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers. Your duties will include performing preventative maintenance, documenting repairs, and providing road assistance as needed, all within a commitment to safety and organizational standards.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience. Alternatively, you can have 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience with TK or Refrigeration certification. You should possess strong problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing operational needs. Additionally, you must be able to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing, walking, driving, lifting, and carrying various heavy equipment parts and tools. You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Additionally, you will be required to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently throughout your shift.
