Your role will involve utilizing evidence-based practices to address crises in emergency settings and medical wards by assessing situations and proposing effective treatment strategies. The Hospital-Based Crisis Intervention aims to enhance the resilience, wellness, and recovery of all individuals served, integrating mental health care, substance use treatment, and recovery-oriented practices throughout the service delivery framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive bio/psycho/social assessments and provide care recommendations
- Perform thorough risk evaluations
- Engage in case consultations with interdisciplinary teams
- Facilitate referrals for individuals and families to suitable services across the care continuum
- Create safety plans and deliver crisis management support to clients and their families
- Participate in all required meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs
Required Qualifications and Educational Background
- Candidates should possess a license-eligible Master's degree or be independently licensed as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
- Supervision for licensure is available.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective verbal, written, and digital communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer use, including familiarity with electronic health record systems, virtual communication tools (e.g., doxy or Zoom), and basic Microsoft Office applications for email, document management, and organization.
