Job Summary

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Adventist Health, you will provide personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). This role involves performing tasks associated with activities of daily living, including self-care needs, and reporting patient status and concerns to the RN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine assigned tasks, such as assisting with nutrition and hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning devices, and restorative care.
  • Take vital signs, including pulse and blood pressure, and help patients with their basic needs, i.e., bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assist with clerical duties, such as routing patient reports as appropriate and using organizational skills to keep the department running smoothly.
Requirements
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
