Job Title: Behavioral Intervention Specialist

IAHD-Institute for Applied Human Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental health and overall wellness of individuals in our group homes and day programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychological services, including monthly, quarterly, and annual evaluations and reports.
  • Develop, write, and monitor behavior modification plans for each individual in residential and day program settings.
  • Participate in Agency Standing Committee meetings, including Incident Reporting, IDT, Human Rights, Infection Control, etc.
  • Complete Functional Behavior Assessments and ensure data collection is measurable and objective.
  • Instruct and train staff in the implementation of behavior plans and strategies.
  • Monitor programs by direct observation, review of data, and interview of management, clinical, and direct support staff.
  • Attend clinical, supervision, and treatment team meetings, reporting on individual's response to behavior plans and overall psychological functioning.
  • Act as liaison with psychiatrist, completing the behavior portion of Psychiatric Consult form prior to scheduled appointments.
  • Responsible for obtaining written informed consent for restrictions in behavior modification plans and presenting them to the Human Rights Committee.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong technology skills and a strong team player.
